Just what I needed for running outdoors.

Surprisingly spacious for such a small area. It has enough space for a 2.5 liter tank, sweatshirt, magazines, light jacket/windbreaker, snacks, GPS device, phone and more. The best thing about this bag is the separate storage/compartments. Plenty of other 18L backpacks hold that too, but they're disappointing because you can't keep your personal devices off your hydration bladder, your food off your umbrella, and so on. This bag has enough compartments in different sizes.

Buy it in advance to return it if it doesn't fit!

I bought this backpack for the day hike I was doing. Judging by the photo, something is wrong with him. I think what happened was I had a backpack with two right back pockets. The left pocket is upside down and has two identical clasps so they don't match. I needed it for a hike so I kept it and fixed the clasp. The left pocket cannot really be used as it is upside down. And being right handed it would be fine but things in this bag are not good. Also, it's a good backpack. Update: A company…

Leaky Bladder Accessories

I bought this when it was on sale for $19 (as far as I write it's $29). couldn't be wrong. But I was really wrong. The packaging itself isn't too bad, as long as you don't mind cutting off some loose threads. My problem is in the hydration system. The bladder had to be rinsed/soaked very well several times to get the horrible chemical smell out. The bite valve would not release the water. I bought another valve thinking it wouldn't be a big deal since I had so little money to buy a backpack and

The water bottle and backpack were great at first

The water bottle and backpack were great at first. It holds plenty of water and fits comfortably in an insulated bag. The backpack is comfortable and perfect for hiking/day use. There's plenty of room for food and clothes - I was even able to fit a pair of tennis shoes in there. Unfortunately, I noticed that the spout started to drip a little on the second day of use. I checked that the bag isn't leaking and that water is still dripping from the suction tube even after it's "blocked". This was…

5 stars and great price

I bought one of these for me and my wife before our recent trip to Hawaii. We've used them both as carry-ons on the plane and on some of our extreme day trips on Maui and Kauai. This was our first time using a hydration pack and I have to say it did everything I wanted it to and worked like a charm. Here are some thoughts. I saw someone say there is no hose hole but yes there are two, one on each side near the shoulders. Pass the tubing through the hole on the strap next to the loop, then…

Great for the price

So first let me remind you that you get what you pay for. It's really cheap packaging. Other than that, it's great for most things I've used it for. I use it as a daypack when hiking. I like the insulated pocket for my hydration bladder. I filled my bladder with ice and traveled 6 hours in 102 degrees and found the water cool at least towards the end of the day. Water, as well as a stainless steel water bottle and my DSLR with a pair of lenses I barely recognize as there. It has a practical…

Traveler Opinion on Hydration Packs

I'm looking for the best daypack for under $50. TL; DR, it's not. For the price, this daypack has a lot of bells and whistles, but overall the design and construction is poorly executed. I didn't use a camera, so this feature is excluded from this review. Overall Construction: The fabric, stitching and zippers appear to be quite durable and I believe they can withstand high mileage. This backpack is frameless, which is to be expected for a daypack, but thanks to the padding on the back it keeps
