Surprisingly spacious for such a small area. It has enough space for a 2.5 liter tank, sweatshirt, magazines, light jacket/windbreaker, snacks, GPS device, phone and more. The best thing about this bag is the separate storage/compartments. Plenty of other 18L backpacks hold that too, but they're disappointing because you can't keep your personal devices off your hydration bladder, your food off your umbrella, and so on. This bag has enough compartments in different sizes.

I bought this backpack for the day hike I was doing. Judging by the photo, something is wrong with him. I think what happened was I had a backpack with two right back pockets.
