The thing is just really cool. Basically I just bought it because it was a good deal (on a discount site) but I really like this thing. It's so accurate! I thought it wasn't very accurate (around 0.1 degrees) but it was. When I measured my square (45 and 90) it was 89.9 on one side and 90.0 on the other. When I measured the 45 degree square it showed 45.0. Also if I measured the flat side of the square (fully open it would be 179.9 or 180.0). Those are good tolerances if you ask me! It also has

Measure angles accurately

I ordered this digital angle tool to help me fine tune my miter saw and table saw. I am very happy with its performance. The digital scale is read with an accuracy of tenths of a degree, but the manufacturer claims an accuracy of 3 tenths of a degree. In fact, I found the tool more accurate than what the manufacturer claims. Repeated measurements of the same angle gave the same results. The stainless steel levers are very sharp on the corners and edges, so the top lever will mark the bottom…

I wish I had bought this years ago!

I wish I had bought this many years ago. I've been working with wood for about 5 years; I do some furniture but mostly military flags and shadow boxes. Sometimes my beveled corners were far from perfect and all I had were combo squares and big orange speed squares to help me out. The result was sometimes excellent bevels, and sometimes I needed twice as much putty as I needed. Let's get to this handy tool. I wanted to cut in half at a 45 degree angle and knew 22.5 would be the answer, but since

It's by no means perfect

As a senior sheet metal fabricator and ME in a billion dollar company with a large sheet metal department, I was forced to re-evaluate our protractor needs after struggling with faulty protractors from a traditional manufacturer . I decided to start exploring. After trying all the digital and manuals on the market; It was the winner. It's by no means perfect, but it certainly outperforms every other model I've experimented with. Pros: Digital readout means quick angle detection. Exactly the…

I don't know how I used to live without them

I make a living on a 20 foot press brake. That means everything I do has to do with angles. Over the years I've had all kinds of protractors, from Sterrett to Mitutoyo and five or six others. My go-to protractor is Sterrett's cast iron work from a combo square set I bought for a few hundred dollars. I use both the triangle and the protractor every hour, every day. But this thing, while cheap, knocks them out of the water like a nuclear torpedo. Seriously, it cut the time in half or even more. I
