GEMYSE Waterproof Jacket Hooded Windproof Review

I bought 3 of these at the end of October 2022, one for each child. To be honest these coats were great. However, for some reason, shortly after purchase, the zipper on the hood of the third broke. Not really a big deal for an 8 year old and it didn't compromise functionality or warmth. Unfortunately, the main zipper at the front has also failed and the coat can no longer be closed.

My son was immediately excited when he saw it. Above all, an added bonus in the form of a fluffy inside. Will definitely buy him another one when he outgrows it.

I love the style of this jacket. My son is free to roam, unlike some of those big fluffy winter jackets you see all the time. Inside it's cozy and comfortable while holding up well. We have some severe winters in PNW so we'll let you know how warm it stays there in a few months.

This coat is great. It fits my almost 7 year old son perfectly and has room to grow. Very high quality and manufactured at the highest level! I'm glad I chose this one over the others I was considering. We've also had compliments on how good it is.

Beautiful coat and great quality. Was curious how warm it would be for our New England winters, but for now. So good! My son says it's comfortable, warm and loves the way it looks! I got a few compliments too! Definitely recommend!

We usually buy Columbia or North Face, but it's hard for growing kids to spend that kind of money on something they've outgrown in a year. Overall the coat is well tailored. Better than the returned Columbia jacket for the same price. Keeps my son warm while skiing. There are pros and cons, but overall I would buy it again. This isn't the three-piece (inner zip-off fleece jacket) that we prefer. It doesn't have a drawstring or elastic waist, a powder skirt, which is also preferable for skiing…

Bought it for my 6s and absolutely love the quality. It's warm, very warm, soft and comfortable. My kid is small for his age so it's a bit big for him. But then he has a good room for growth. The hood is quite low so it should be good for snowy weather. The zipper pocket is quite well made. But the cuff with a hole is excellent. Does not squeeze or rub the child's finger, soft and comfortable to the touch. Absolutely happy with this purchase

The fabric on the sleeves has unrolled and looks awful. The thing is I didn't even look at the jackets until we had them for 2 months which was too late to return this jacket. I am very disappointed, especially for how much I paid!

I bought this as a present for my nephew. I do a lot of ice fishing with my nephew and I know he can use it. The inner lining feels really soft and comfortable and I have a feeling the whole jacket will stand up to a Minnesota winter.

I like the jacket very much. Has a warm lining that will keep my grandson warm this winter. Good quality. would recommend. The only problem I had was that the jacket runs small. I originally ordered a size 10-12 but it was too small for my 7 year old grandson who is tall for his age. Reordered size 12-14, fits perfectly. grandson loves it!

If your child is size 10/12, please order one size up. Believe me. They are undersized. Good quality. My son loves it and didn't want to send it back in a larger size.

This jacket is lovely and fits my son well but I was disappointed that after only a week of wearing it ripped at one of the seams. Of course I bought it ahead of time to be ready and now I'm out of the return window.

Bought for grandchildren. It's really stiff so I had to wash it a few times before he put it on. Well washed and now he likes it.

It came in a small ziplock plastic bag, very crumpled. Looks like a nice coat but the reason I am returning it is because while it is machine washable it cannot be tumble dried. Drip dry or dry clean only. How will all these wrinkles ever come out? Do not iron the coat after every wash. I expected a coat and wash and dry. This is also made in China.

The jacket was too long. It looks and fits well but was much thinner than expected and smelled like fish. Thanks for attention!

The first day I used this jacket, I lost my phone while snowboarding. I strongly advise against buying cheap zippers from this company.

I ordered this for my 10 year old as he needed a new winter coat. In the past we had 3-in-1 coats with detachable fleece. This coat does not have this function. It feels light when you hold it but keeps you nice and warm. This coat has a fleece lining. We live in the north of the US and he loves to go outside even when it's 0 degrees when there is snow on the ground. He likes that the inner sleeve can go over his arm and roll up over his thumb.

I bought this coat in October and was initially happy with it. It fit my 6 year old well and was warm. After a few months of wearing, the armpit cracked and the velcro on the wrist came loose so I couldn't tighten it around his gloves. I will not order this brand again.
