Genuine OEM Generac Part. The purpose this part is to ensure the fuel that is supplied into the carburetor is free of dirt and any other contaminants. Over time it may get dirty and logged restricting the fuel flow, if the engine is not getting enough fuel, it is time to replace the fuel filter. This part is compatible with GP6500, GP6500E and GP7500E Generators. Please Note: May not fit all specs of above models listed, please consult owner's manual for proper part number identification and proper installation.

I bought this to replace an old, clogged fuel filter on our Generac GP5500 generator. This is the parts replacement factor.

Wrong part, will not work with RS5500

I followed the instructions verbatim for my RS5500. Bought exactly what is listed. 0G9914 has notches that are too small for the fuel hose. The diagram in the manual also does not match the original filters that were installed in my device. Overall I'm not happy with the RS5500's level of maintenance and it's no wonder you can't find it anymore.
