Fed up with cheap countersink bit sets

I've been trying to improve my carpentry skills and got tired of driving just one screw with maximum force to make it "drown" (I never said I just came to myself to improve). I bought a combo set to drill and ream at the same time, but was never satisfied with the three bit combo. I've looked at many options, but not too many with glowing reports. I stumble upon this little beauty with 5 grooves for a thin smooth wall with a hole countersink. I first had to get used to the fact that no strong…

Pros
  • The countersink is made of high-speed steel with six cutting edges. Point Angle 82 Degrees
Cons
  • High Price

You need one of these!

If you don't have a countersink then you don't know what you are missing. Real precision but I somehow got hold of a countersink and oh my god they work so easily compared to a big drill bit that will never reach or drill deeper than you'd like - they cut slow but cleanly If you don't have something like that get this one - it's big enough to do everything - I don't think I've ever used a countersink 3/4" diameter but if so I have it now. This one looks very well made, drills clean. I use him…

Pros
  • Countersink 1/2" HS
Cons
  • Long Shipping

Great for Aluminum: Power Tools and Hand Tools

Some of these reviewers don't know what they are doing. This type of drill will vibrate unless you're using a power drill (and even then if you're trying to work too fast) it's not the drill's fault. At the very least you need one with a guide, but then look for a full set with one for each hole size. I set the press to the lowest speed and it carved some deep countersinks into the L-track aluminum like it was cheese, leaving a nice, shiny, perfectly round hole for some 3/8" countersunk screws.

Pros
  • General Tool Countersunk Bit is the perfect bit to get the woodworking project done right
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging
