Divider for smaller diameters

I work with metal. I bought a 4 inch divider because it has a shorter leg size which allows me to get smaller diameters more accurately. The 4" splitter works better than my 6" or 8" splitter and has some thick metal slag on the carbon steel. Thick mill scale requires more pressure to draw a deep line in it. Common delimiters seem to do a decent job. I intend to abuse this tool to the point where I'll eventually have to sharpen the cue points, but they're holding up for now. BTW they work great

MASSIVE blunt tool:

MASSIVE blunt tool: First, it is a large, heavy tool, 6 inches refers to leg length; They are generally 8 inches tall with a 3 1/8 inch threaded adjustment screw. This is a high quality, well made, solid instrument that you can probably pass on to your son or grandson. The problem is that .mine does NOT work! The tips of the legs are not pointed, they are flat, it is a round flat surface a little over 1/32 in (0.035–0.038 in) in diameter. They don't hold up and just bounce/slip over anything…

Good for simple dovetail layout.

I bought these dividers to fit the dovetails over the end of the board and just spread them out evenly. I found a demo video of how to arrange dovetails with dividers online and I won't go into detail but I decided to use some drawers as I have some drawers for a dresser and wanted to use dovetails . to build boxes. These dividers come with two compass points that allow you to mark measurements accurately. The dividers come sealed in plastic and coated with oil to prevent them from rusting in…
