Inexpensive and effective

I'm a keen carpenter and these brackets work great when attached to a long 5" board with a straight edge. Place small pieces of thin wood spacers under the wood you want to straighten and clamp them in place to keep the wood stock from moving or wrinkling before you pierce it through the saw blade. Easy straight fit when using a table saw, even on 8 foot pieces of wood.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I'll add later

If you don't have a surface planer, there's no way to straighten the edge of a circular saw that doesn't require a lot of tools and you have to do it yourself. It would be possible and I screwed the ruler to the board. I want the edge to be straight, but that's also a problem. They work, but you have to make a "washer" that will lift the wood to be cut so it is level with these devices that lift the wood off the table bed. Also, I think if the wood is longer than 30-40 inches, a different setโ€ฆ

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • low maintenance

Very useful carpentry

Here you can read a lot of negative reviews. Well, my review is TOTALLY honest and positive. Why? Because I can work with wood. Some of those people with negative reviews tried the tool once and come here to talk about the tool. This little thing really did its job and saved me a ton of money on a 6 inch carpentry machine. the carpenter simply straightens the wood, plank, 2x4, 2x6, etc. If you can find a very good piece that is straight and thin enough to fit on the side panel of this tableโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Forget it - do a simple rip-sled

It can be made to work, but not worth squeezing the juice out of. First, they are expensive. You'll need two sets for anything longer than about 4 feet. just trust me So now you have that $40 with taxes etc. Second, the whole setup is NOT SECURE unless you also put it under the leading edge to compensate for the thickness of the mounts (and the little pivoting legs are a joke - that's far from it remove it). stable enough - believe me you need a pad. A 1/4 inch strip of plywood the same lengthโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • It's OK
