🚰 Authentic Stainless Steel Spigot by Berkey Review

Works like a charm. Looks a lot better than the original white that came in the box, also is a lot heavier and better finished than the original in the box.

This heavy duty faucet is of good quality. I only wish the Berkey water filter was included in the kit instead of buying it separately.

Aesthetically it looks better than the black plastic tube on my Berkey. Time will tell functionality. ATTENTION THAT THE EDGES OF THE STAINLESS STEEL MACHINE HAVE EXTREMELY SHARP EDGES! I cut my finger pretty badly installing the connector. I'm really worried about taking it off for cleaning every time because of this problem.

I received this to replace the stock plumbing that came with my Alexapure system which was leaking right out of the box! Fits perfectly and closes tightly. This steel bushing is heavy and very well made, and the silicone gaskets inside and out are durable and will fit when tightened. I wish I was broke now and had one with a see through hose to show the water level. but will be in the future! Delivered to my home in less than a week! Good company!

In August our Berka water spoiled the taste. Though I thought it was early, I swapped out our white filters first (after 3 months of use) as we change them on average every 6 months when we clean the Berkay together. Well it didn't work. So I took it apart and focused on the pipe. After 11 months of use, the attached picture revealed the reason for the bad taste of the water. In a previous review I wrote about my brand new Travel Berkey pumping water from below and the serious lack of a visual warning because the Berkey staff know this can happen but they printed it small. My Berkey also had this metal faucet, but after it caused $3,000 worth of damage to my new kitchen cabinet, I can't recommend adding anything to add value. Honestly, this article is an additional article for Berkey. It shouldn't be that difficult or difficult to install. Directions were very easy, no problem. My Berkey arrived and I was SO HAPPY! After a few months of use I thought it would be a good idea to invest in this SS spout as I bring it from home to my RV quite often and the plastic breaks so easily. This faucet arrived and I installed it. I'm worried because he seems very... shaky. It doesn't fit the plastic spout that snugly and when I open/close the spout it moves against the padding and I'm really worried this will leak sooner rather than later.
