There are a few fakes. After some research, I would highly recommend OEM. I've learned that non-OEMs may not have the correct PSI rating. Without the proper PSI cap, your antifreeze will boil off, especially if you have more than a 50/50 high water content water mix. If you don't want to lose head gaskets or antifreeze I would highly recommend this cap.

Parts and packaging look and feel original but something about the packaging felt a little. It wasn't your typical box that I'm used to putting in radiator caps. It was packaged in a plaistic (sealed) packaging pouch with the Motorcraft logo and numbers written on it, but also "Made in India". First for me. There is a leak under the lid. Could be an overflow degasser. I will definitely go to the dealer and buy a new case.

This is definitely an updated design from my original 2003 F350. I had no problems with the old one, but I didn't want to tempt fate with an 11 year old cap. This fits the bill and is a genuine Ford part. I saw some negative reviews on some aftermarket products so I bought this one and am happy with it. I'm guessing the old cap on my 2004 Mustang was original OEM when it was brand new, so when it started to overheat a little I decided to check a few simple things first.
