Use genuine Ford parts whenever possible.
This is definitely an updated design from my original 2003 F350. I had no problems with the old one, but I didn't want to tempt fate with an 11 year old cap. This fits the bill and is a genuine Ford part. I saw some negative reviews on some aftermarket products so I bought this one and am happy with it. Be sure to use Motor-craft Gold antifreeze if you have a diesel engine and always use Motor-craft filters. I also recommend the Sinister Diesel Coolant Filtration Kit. I was amazed at how much stuff is floating around in your coolant.
