Unreliable Auxiliary Connector Ruins Automotive Experience

As a result of my tests, I determined that this replacement part did nothing for my engine cooling or climate control. It's evident that the Genuine GM 15055343 Auxiliary Connector is a poorly made product because it failed on me only after a week of use. The only good thing about this part is that it was easy to install. Overall, save yourself the hassle and get a more reliable alternative.

Pros
  • High-quality and genuine GM product
Cons
  • Skimpy instruction

I quickly installed this on my 2003 Cadillac Escalade 6.0. Since I didn't have the proper removal tool, I simply used a zip tie to loosen the tabs on the old part's retaining bushings. There is a video on Youtube that explains how to do it. Unfortunately, an old locking sleeve had to be reused because. the T-piece was not included (smooth end in the photo). The new block did not leak after installation. work is done.

First remove the foremost connection (the one closest to the front of the car, easily done with a plastic collar tool I bought at an auto parts store), then the next connection closest to the firewall, and then the smaller wire . which last goes to the aluminum pipe of the rear heater cooler. Install in reverse order. If you pinch…
