The headlights did not go out in the door position after the doors were closed. Bad shift mechanism. Revain stated that this item did not fit in my car when in fact it did. The only difference is the glasses/sunglasses holder. The inner lining (on the side opposite the hinges) is black, not gray (original). But when closed it is still not visible.

Perfect fit! I recommend everyone to buy and install this product themselves. So easy. You will save so much money. The only bad thing is that it didn't get into the interior of my brown car. But it still matches the performance. So I removed the lamp block from the inside and replaced the defective one with my standard housing, keeping the brown block with the gray button. Looks great, works great!

I had the same problem at first: the overhead lights wouldn't go out when the doors were installed. Second, I had the Sonata at the dealer for recall. If they had a price to fix the overhead console light assembly they wouldn't quote me a price but they said it was $100 just for diagnosing the problem + whatever the price of the repair was. Obviously he said no way. Appreciated while waiting - took 5-10 minutes to exchange. Works as advertised. Great offer!

Replacement takes 5 minutes: 1. Remove 2 screws.2. Use a couple of levers to remove the lamp from the roof (I used the bottom one in the photo).3. Disconnect the plug.4. Install in reverse order. (old clips can be left)
