Genuine OEM Hyundai Air Filter 28113-C1100: Ensuring Optimal Performance and Air Quality Review

The filter fits my 2015 Hyundai Sonata Limited perfectly. I couldn't find this filter in stores near me that had tabs that hold the filter securely in the slot. I don't know if they are needed, but with a non-original filter just sitting in the slot it seemed like dust could get around the filter and into the cylinders.

Very original filter. On Hyundai Sonata 2015 with 2.4L engine, the original filter has clips on both sides. I bought other filters for my car and they didn't have a locking tab and you almost had to force them in to fit. This filter has locking tabs and fits exactly like the original filter.

I have no problem with most aftermarket items including oil and air filters but when you can buy factory parts for the same price as Fram or Wix why not use genuine stock? In this case, the OEM filter just looks a little more premium than some of the aftermarket products. I will be using this OEM air filter and oil filter for my Sonata.

If you have a Hyundai Sonata, at least it won't fit the 2019 SEL. This filter arrived dirty and the tab broke off. I compared it to the original filter that came with my new car and it's definitely a fake. If you try to push it in, it goes in about half an inch, and you'll need a hammer to push it all the way in. If you decide to go the hammer method, good luck getting that bastard out when it comes time to remove it.

This replaces the factory fitment on my wife's 2016 Kia Optima EX 2.4 liter engine. The part numbers match exactly with the original factory block that sits in the air intake. I pulled an old filter out of my 2017 Sonata Sport. Part number 28113-C1100. Bought the same part number but the new filter barely fits in. Latched tabs in correct position.
