Genuine Subaru 72880AJ00A Cabin Filter Review

Perfect for the 2015 Outback Premium 2.5 but overpriced. This is more than an engine air filter. I think next time I'll try the secondary market.

Just wondering why it only has 15 pleats when the original cabin filter I just removed had 31? The original with more creases seemed to pick up more dirt than the new one with half as many creases.

Never fitted to a car, damaged on delivery but I can comment on the quality of the product. Looks and feels quite thin and the filter material looks clear and thin. Nothing more than protecting the air conditioner from large particles.

The product was only wrapped in plastic and did not look like the genuine Subaru parts packaging that I am used to. Should have read the reviews before buying as other customers have had the same complaints. 1 star for mismatching product description.

This is not a genuine genuine Subaru filter, it really looks like bait and using your clever pun it could be a third the amount of filter material. . The brand name is "Real Subaru" not Subaru, I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing.

This worked fine in my 2015 Outback 2.5i Limited. I did not compare it with the previous filter, but I buy them on the secondary market from the first replacement interval. So I'm not sure I would have noticed the difference at this point. I definitely didn't notice that at first. It certainly doesn't look like a great filter, but as far as I could tell at the time it looked like it was already in the car.

I ordered this as an OEM replacement filter for my 2015 Subaru Outback. It came with every "official" Subaru tag, with ONE BIG difference. The Subaru filter should have a directional arrow showing the correct location in the filter box. It was completely devoid of directional arrows. I removed the existing/dirty filter, noted which way the pleats were facing, and installed it the same way. It fitted well but left me with some doubts about how OEM this filter really is. Next time I will just buy
