Genuine Toyota Oil Drain Plug Gaskets - Pack of 10 Review

This product actually arrived a few days earlier than expected which in this case was desirable as I needed an oil change as soon as possible. They fit my Toyota Sienna (2008) perfectly and were easy to fit. This means that they can be easily replaced with every oil change - inexpensive insurance against leakage around the screw in the oil pan. Just installed them last night - will revisit at next oil change to see how well they hold up!

I bought a used Toyota Sienna which appeared to be in good condition but the oil change history was unclear so I decided to get a new drain plug gasket. I was right and the gasket required more work than I wanted to remove. This pack lasts more than three years if I change the gasket every time. Once installed you cannot see them so presentation is an issue, they are easy enough to install but removing the old one can be an issue as it was for me.

I love these things. I do an oil change on my mother-in-law's car, and I always do it right, so I change the washer at every oil change. I have also found that they are perfect for other oil drain plugs as well. I use them on Suzuki DR-Z400, Suzuki Boulevard and Yamaha XT250 bikes. These OEM style drain discs are superior to OEM style break discs in these applications. Make sure it's OEM Toyota and not cheap aftermarket junk. Every time I have ordered them they have been OEM in OEM packaging.

I told TOYOTA TECH I would do my own oil, filter changes and lubrication after a 2 year free program on all new Toyotas, my TACOMA TRD TRUCK. He said it's fine, but make sure you use one of those aluminum washers every time you change your oil. He also said that using the old one is not recommended as the old one was shredded as intended and could leak if used again and told me I could order it in bulk from AMAZON. I've done at least 6 oil changes and never had a leak, good product.

I just completed the first oil change on my 2021 Tundra using this drain plug washer. I have compared the factory disc to this part (see picture) and they are not the same part. This is clearly not an OEM part unless Toyota uses different shims at the factory than the OEM part number listed (but I very, very doubt that). So it works fine - it seals the drain plug and doesn't leak, but it just worries me that it'll be advertised as an OEM part when it clearly isn't. 3 stars because it works…
