Overall a pretty good board with coil whistles

I've had this board for about 2 weeks now. I got it on purpose because it has 2x 8-pin CPU power connectors, a VRM heatsink design, lots of m.2 slots and very good audio outputs for both front and rear onboard audio. I'm not interested in LEDs or other "gaming" features. Here are some of my thoughts: Great: + The built in sound is the best I've heard from a motherboard. I'm not a passionate music lover, but I love good sound. I will no longer be using my Fiio desktop amp with my Beyerdynamic…

Pros
  • Sturdy build
Cons
  • Long wait

Brilliant! Computer components

It's been 7 years since I built the computer. I decided to upgrade my computer with a 12 core i9 processor. It was a miracle because I just took my 7 year old quad core computer and swapped it out for a motherboard with a new processor and it worked great! I mean, miraculously, I only had one small problem. Whenever I launched Adobe applications like Lightroom and Photoshop, I got a blue screen on the PC. It only took me 2 minutes to find a workaround for this known issue online. You just need…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Infinitely slow

Great motherboard! for internals

This was an excellent board with no issues as some have mentioned. I installed an Intel i7-7800x and successfully autotuned it to 4.2GHz with no stabilization/heating issues. I would recommend using this board if you are using at least a 7800x to take full advantage of the 8 DIMM slots available, not just the 4 on the Kaby Lake X platform. The lighting zones are highly customizable and have multiple configuration options in both BIOS and Windows. Cons: The only problem I've had so far is with…

Defective computers and accessories

The first board I ordered kept disconnecting for no reason, all cables were connected correctly and the processor was not a problem as I have i7 and i9 with 1000w Corsair power had enough. installed and got the same result, this board is too beautiful and expensive to solve this problem.

Pros
  • beautiful thing
Cons
  • ugly packaging

5 for hardware, 1 for software

First of all, the board itself is excellent. I have two nvme drives, two aorus 1080 ti drives with RGB Aorus HB SLI bridge, 64GB RAM 3422MHz and 7900x at 4.5GHz. The hardware works perfectly. However, if you need RGB functionality, look elsewhere. RGB Fusion is terrible software. Initially, you needed two separate apps to set up all the different RGB zones. You can access the motherboard, SLI bridge and LEDs for each graphics card in the Aorus Graphics Engine application, but this application…

Pros
  • Provides pleasant sensations
Cons
  • No machine

I bought this MB to replace a 7 year old Gigabyte I7 motherboard that has cut me very well but is a bit dated. After struggling with it for a day, I'm almost ready to get it back, even if it would be a real pain. The specs say this motherboard has 8 SATA interfaces, which is true. However, if you add an M.2 SSD, it turns out that the M2 drive assigns one of the SATA interfaces - in my case #4. That would be fine, except when you plug something into the SATA 4 port , the MB will not see it. I…

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Not the best

The board is ok in mainboards

TLDR; Initially, I was very excited about this GIGABYTE X299 AORUS GAMING 7 PRO board. But then there were quite a lot of minuses to deduct 2 stars. --- -------------- ---------------------= Has quite a few internal SATA ports so you can theoretically connect 8 internal drives. (But also read the cons.) = Also has x3 (or possibly x2) internal M.2 ports for faster drives. = The board is relatively small and all ports/connectors are placed quite reasonably. = Comes with lots of screws and stands,

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • For pensioners
