Expensive. About murder. but so beautiful.

My first gigabyte board after 20 years of construction only with ASUS. I really like the Gigabyte BIOS and to my surprise my board was updated for Ryzen 5000. I just wish Gigabyte would let Corsair put a plugin in so motherboard RGB could be controlled with iCue.

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • Very expensive

An overpriced board worth every penny?

Definitely overkill but I like it. Have it for unique power management. This board is a sexy powerhouse. The extras you get with this board are the most I've seen and you should pay for what you pay for. Also the way the headers are set up on this board is a godsend and we hope it catches on. This and the ROG Croshair 8 Formula are my favorite boards.

  • Handsfree

Weak M.2 racks. can break if you overtighten the screw(s).

Used for gaming, streaming, archiving old photos, TV antenna recording, and everything in between. simultaneously. This is the ultimate no-compromise AM4 motherboard, and best of all, the chipset is passively cooled. So there is no moving fan to worry about failing in the future. My only complaint is how easily the m.2 rack actually broke when tightening a screw to secure one of my SSDs. It's not a big deal in my situation though as I just moved my SSD to a faster slot.

Best-in-class MB for high-end AMD builds

Have wiggled between this and the ASUS ROG formula, but after seeing the reviews of this and the best-in-class VMs, settled on this MB. It's big, but we're going to build it. I like that it's basically a large heatsink on the top and back of the board. It's easy to get up and go. I just wish they had a water-cooled version like ASUS with the formula. The 3 m2 slots also played a role. Having 3 is great as I use all 3 slots and I don't have to buy a PCIe adapter card to fit one of them. It alsoโ€ฆ

Already dead upon arrival! for computer components

I bought this motherboard in November, but due to the presence of the processor I was able to assemble this monster only recently. Everything connected correctly, pressed the power button. Nothing. I switched the power supply with my current computer. Nothing. No fan rotation, no lights, no dice. I called the gigabyte service center. Useless. Blame me for a dead board. I'll be patiently waiting for another board because this one looks pretty damn good. Not my first dead board rodeo. But thisโ€ฆ

Maximum performance, features and cooling. priced at

Pros:+ Top tier feature set+ Heavily revised VRM solution+ X570 board only with passive cooling (before ASUS Dark Hero release)+ Receives timely BIOS updates in the form of new ones AGESA versions Cons: - Expensive, obviously - _slightly_ wider than standard ATX. This can complicate cable routing depending on how your case is drilled. Luckily, that seems to have been considered as the ATX power connector is on the side and the board has a notch to be a bit more tolerant of hard power cables.โ€ฆ

Terrible quality and customer service

Save your money and don't buy this board. Gigabyte has terrible quality and much worse customer service. The board had 2 weeks before she died. Just went through an endless upload loop and never published. The board itself was very volatile from the start and was slow to release. I've seen other reviews with similar issues. After almost 3 weeks and paying $40 for shipping to RMA, Gigabyte refused to repair or replace the board. The staff confirmed and sent photographic evidence of what wasโ€ฆ
