High quality motherboard with excellent VRM cooling

Very happy with this motherboard so far. The i5-9600k I installed hits 4.58GHz like a champ, and the built-in I/O shield is a great premium feature. I even stumbled across some extra white and red LEDs on the back reflecting under the table (looks like they have software and bios settings if you don't like them).

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Some small things

Everything is fine but I can't boot in dual channel mode

Good mobile phone. Bypassing the BIOS takes time, but that's okay. I can't boot the thing in dual channel. It's just food cycles. I'm not sure what happened, but I wouldn't be surprised if the RAM slots stopped working. I'll stick to one channel for now. Otherwise, it's a good choice for a motherboard.

The ball definitely went down!

Gygabyte was initially one of the best branded boards I liked the most but they definitely gave up on this board, I have a Z390 Ganing X, the board doesn't lose memory set to the right spaces , 2×8 gigabytes 3000 MHz, same brand, all the same. If I just put an 8GB chip in it starts up but it keeps booting up and shutting down, I have an I5 9600k processor, Beast radiators, a Beast case but no matter what I do it doesn't rewrite, um Installing windows or freezes at post. Any ideas how to fix…

Slow USB ports. The first start is hard. The size is not ATX.

All USB ports work at 35 Mbit/s, not at full speed 3.0. I think the problem is in the Z390 chipset. I have 3 Asus motherboards doing the same thing. Loading: First, I installed 2 Samsung 2TB 970 Plus M2 SSDs. The system would not boot if both were installed first. I uninstalled one, booted it up, then reinstalled the second and booted it up without incident. Update: The USB ports have improved to 245 MPS after a lot of work. The board is not an ATX board and does not fit all 9 pins. The 24-pin…

Good budget z390 for computer components

As it is a brand new model there were no reviews for this motherboard yet but I took a chance as the z390 was a great price. My only complaint is that the board comes with a driver CD and the network port drivers are not installed. And don't confuse this model with other models that support addressable RGB control. It has 1 regular RGB header, but it's no header (addressable RGB) meaning you can't control your RGB colors via an RGB merge, which honestly didn't matter for my build. Other than…

Second try with Z390 board

Bought Asrock Z390 Pro, installation failed, spent 3 hours trying to figure out what was wrong. Now with Gigabyte Z390 Gaming X and I5-9400F. The circuit board is well installed, I liked the labeling of all connections and the color coding of the connections. Asrock was just black and white. I like the way Gigabyte places the backplate on the board for simplicity. The board comes with RGB lighting which wasn't a big deal when you bought the board but can really enjoy the looks. Colors can be…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Update available

Sturdy board. I installed Intel 9900k. Looking at the construction, the capacitors look decent and the circuit board traces are fine. I would rate the flex as average, I would have preferred a little more thickness, but that's ok. My board arrived used and missing the screws and tabs even though I bought it new but hey it works and I'm not going to eat it. Not a very good job by either Gigabyte or Revain, I don't know what happened there. I had offsets from a previous build so it doesn't…
