I'm not one to write reviews but when I received an email the same day with the question I realized how bad they are and why Not. A few weeks ago I ordered gildan 2 packs. I liked the shirts and decided I wanted more. When I saw there were 5 pieces in stock I decided to order it. Externally, the shirts looked a bit thinner and "spiky" than the 2-pack. I check to make sure it was the same shirts advertised and what they were. Then I washed them for the first time. And now I have 5 shirts that…

Not the blackest black. I think I was looking for a three part version. The triblends are darker and keep that black color, but I love these ultra cotton shirts. The fit is not as tight as I like. The collars fit perfectly and just look good!

I bought these to work under my chef coats. They are comfortable, breathable, wash and wear well. The fabric is thicker than many "cheap" t-shirts. They should not be tight around the neck. I have great respect for Gildan products.

Never heard of guilds but glad I found them. I came across guilds while reading reviews of other t-shirts. It seems to be the highest quality t-shirt I've ever owned. I will not buy anything but in the future. I will not go back to Hanes or Fruit of the Loom which have always been my brands.

Ordered my husbands size and it fits perfectly. Doesn't stretch, holds its shape with washing and doesn't pill. Thick material, doesn't look cheap. The only thing is that the bottom of the t-shirt is trying to wrap up.

Completely different from my old Gildan Ultra Cotton. These shirts are so thin I can see my skin through them. Ultra-Cotton was intended to be a heavier version of Gildan. I'd rather not see my nipples when I'm wearing a white shirt. That doesn't happen to my elders at all. I have the same 6+ year old shirts that I replaced when they started fading and the difference in weight is day and night. The stitching is also bad as others have commented. I washed and dried these shirts before wearing as I do all new shirts. All 5 shirts came out with the cuffs pulled up. I'm not going to iron t-shirts, I'm not going to fight cuffs that won't open for 2-3 years, and I'm not going to look like an idiot in those shirts. If handcuffs can't lie flat, they're junk in my eyes. I'm really tired of products with small flaws that we just have to ignore and fix.

So. I'll get to the point. Four out of five shirts have lost about 30-40% of their threads after one wash. Apparently very cheaply made. Which I don't think is surprising since you get what you pay for. I'm also skeptical that these shirts are actually "100% cotton". Simply by their texture and breathability. I'm a little more sensitive to these things than average, so take it as you please. However, there was no bleed in the wash. They haven't shrunk either. The fit is quite long as you would…

Gildan makes good, cheap t-shirts. These particular shirts are underwear style shirts. The sleeves are shorter than a regular t-shirt and the fit is a little small. They are very thin (underwear). Not what I was looking for as I don't often wear suits. This is the kind of shirt you would wear under a dress shirt, not the kind of shirt I would wear unless I'm wearing it while relaxing or sleeping. They are fine for what they are as long as you understand what you are ordering.
