Excellent ventilation in adult helmets

I've bought $50 helmets in the past but I just wanted to treat myself to a nicer helmet and saw this one on sale . The price was right, I took the risk. I had high expectations and they were met. MIP is great, but I hope I'll never know how well it works. What really appealed to me about this helmet was the ventilation. As a bald rider, even the tiniest drop of sweat seems to get into your eyes or sunglasses. I have noticed a significant reduction in perspiration with this helmet. The sunglass…

Pros
  • High support and durability ratings from testers

No vibration - Roc Loc too sensitive

I've had this helmet for a year now and it's good. It's just not great. And it should have its price. Looks much smoother in photos than upside down. It's probably the MIPS that makes it look like a bowl. It doesn't have a cool vibe. Excellent. I bought it to save my bowler hat if I fall. Well, I think so, but I hope I never find out. Half a year in Rock Lok collapsed. It's useful, but I have to manually put everything in place after putting it on. The Roc Loc system is too flimsy, not just for

  • Great for a small home

You get what you pay for. Great helmet.

Still need a helmet I have a Vanquish MIPS. LOVE IT. Very aero and visors are MUCH better than goggles for me. TIP FWIW. I've also used a sticker on bifocals which makes them even BETTER (for those who need them. You know who you are. B/C they take up a lot less overall viewing area on the visor than goggles). I wanted something aerodynamic, something cooler and whiter. Aether MIPS checked ALL fields. and then something else. VERY good airflow. I used to have SYNTHE MIPS (I liked it too) and…

Insanely expensive, very comfortable, seems good protection

I always wear fat helmets and am very happy with them, even and especially with mountain vikings. I've had a few different mountain bike accidents and the helmets have always served their purpose. In particular, I once had a fairly severe blow to the head that didn't cause injury because it bounced off the helmet. (Let's not talk about a broken shoulder, though.) These helmets are very expensive, but I usually "don't have any money left over" when it comes to protecting my head, so I'm willing…

  • Stylish and modern design

Not Bowled Over - Adult Helmets

My first impression is only 'good' although note I only opened the box about 15 minutes ago. For a helmet this expensive, I expected my arousal to be the same AFTER opening the box as it was BEFORE opening the box. First, according to the Giro's sizing instructions, I was supposed to order a size "M", but I didn't - I ordered a size L. I'm 6ft, 200lbs and don't wear a size M - except for gloves. Shoes, trousers, shirts, hats or other helmets. In fact, I know my head is quite large and often…

Pros
  • Great overall specs

  • I vaguely remember
