These sockets are excellent for PCB mounting. The pins are thin metal but long enough to solder, and the sockets hold the chip well. Look elsewhere if breadboarding or wire wrapping. The package arrived quickly in a sturdy plastic box. There were only a few bent pins, but they were easily straightened out. Overall good value for money considering the different sizes and they meet my basic needs.

The contacts are thinner than anything I've seen in electronics and bend too easily. It cannot be mounted on the breadboard, the distance is somehow wrong. Some contacts are missing. The worst thing is that you buy such things to avoid static and heat sensitive IC chip soldering on the circuit board. Well, the IC chip doesn't fit in this adapter. it was cheap. The box could work for fishing lures so the presentation is ok.

I don't know how on earth the top review got bent and lost pins: the picture shows a hard case and mine arrived exactly like that. Just in case, I went through the whole box and all contacts were perfectly direct and present. The only tip I'd like to give is that it would be nice if the tops were bent/curved slightly outwards so the ICs point straight out without adjustment: almost all ICs I've bought have legs with slightly splayed ones Legs that must be bent inward to fit in these holders…
