I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

Recommendations from my own installation experience on Android 4.2. Of the applications specified by the manufacturer, only ProlificPL2303 USB-UART and You Are Here GPS should be installed. The PL2303GpsInfo program, also recommended by the manufacturer, conflicts with the ones mentioned above, it constantly gives an error - it does not need to be installed - it does not allow navigation programs to connect to satellites, such as navigator and PROGOROD. The device itself signals the location

Pros
  • A very convenient option for budget tablets without GPS. Compact, performance. Conserve tablet battery power.
Cons
  • No

I bought a new $50 Revain Fire 7 inch tablet hoping to download the google play store and other apps to it. Luckily this was easy enough, so I downloaded TomTom GO and the Sygic GPS navigation apps. After receiving the GlobalSAT device, I connected it to my Fire tablet, launched TomTom GO and my location reset instantly. I've used it to and from work today and it never missed a beat. I can't wait to use it for a long trip! and this GPS device) Now I have almost all the functions of an expensive

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Just what I needed for GPS, finder and accessories

Bought this to use with flight navigation software on my windows 8.1 tablet and has worked great so far. Recording time is very short and WAAS is enabled on the chip by default. Note that this doesn't use the Windows 8 Location API, but instead creates a COM port for the app to access location, which shouldn't be a problem for most unless your app is newer and *only* designed to use the Win API eight. . If so, there are various third-party software options I'm aware of that send data to the…

Works with Android as long as .

first install the Play Stores 1) "Prolific PL2303 USB-Uart" App and 2) search the "USB GPS" App Store. I then restarted the device and plugged it back in with the included standard size USB to micro USB cable and a popup asks which program you want to use for this and you select the app. To avoid hassles, select "Use once" when you know the device is working. I also went into the android developer options in the settings (google if you don't know how to see that option it doesn't exist by…

Pros
  • Android device must support USB Host and PL2303 GPSInfo app for Android to work. OS Compatibility: Android 3.2 ~ 6.0+; Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 10; Mac OS X 10.4 ~ 10.11+; Linux kernel 2.4.31+.

Works with Android charts/maps but needs some serious tweaking.

I'm using it on a Chuwi Hi10 pro Android 5.1 tablet without an internal GPS receiver. Navionics mobile nautical charts are installed for charts. BTW it should work on any android from 3.1 to 5.1 and maybe later. Installation is key: use Revain's free You Are Here GPS download. Prefer this app/driver over "Prolific P2303 usb uart" as it will give you Lon/Lat fix along with NMEA suggestions. Important! My ND-105C only achieved GPS fix when connected via the supplied USB cable. Couldn't get a GPS…

Pros
  • MediaTek high-performance GPS chipset Very high sensitivity (chip tracking sensitivity: -165 dBm). Extremely fast TTFF (time to first fix) with low signal strength. Micro USB interface.
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

The ND-105C is ideal for low-cost sailing, NOW BIG IMPROVED!

This GPS module has been used to navigate sea routes for a year and a half. It's paired with a $150 Lenovo S31 laptop with a 32GB SSD and just 2GB of RAM. Navigation program Coastal Navigator. The processor in the laptop belongs to the Intel N series, it is slow but consumes little power and is fast enough to run a navigation program. The GPS has an 8 inch USB to micro USB port for connecting to a laptop. It attaches with Velcro to the top right panel of the screen. The GPS module also works…
