The lamp gives good light, but the foot is very weak and the lamp noticeably tilts to one side. I have it on a rug so I'm hoping it will be safer if I can find a solid board to put under it. If you have small children or dogs I would not recommend this lamp!

Be sure to buy a light bulb, I haven't tested it. But it was easy to set up and it's a good price. I like that it has two lightbulbs. If I don't feel like a big light, I can turn on a smaller lamp. Also, the neck of the smaller lamp is flexible, so I can move it to different angles if needed. Easy to turn on and off.

I have 60 watts up and 15 watts down. Good that there are several lighting options. Comes almost fully assembled, all you have to do is screw on the pole shoes (the power line is threaded through the pole), which takes 5 minutes to assemble. I've only had it for a week and am very happy with it. If anything happens, I'll update the review.

For the price this lamp is excellent. I really didn't need anything special and this fitted the bill. I love that there is a 60w reading lamp under the main lamp that uses 3-way bulbs at the top. The lamp itself is not very durable. I have three small children, a large dog and two cats, so I had to put the lamp I bought for the living room behind the chair. It took me almost an hour to put this damn lamp together! Things didn't go as expected! I had to take out a pair of pliers and a hammer to bend parts of the screw so it would go into the other parts. Once I didn't read the review because I came back and saw that many others had the SAME problem! If this lamp cost more I would return it. I assembled the lamp tonight. As others have pointed out, the dimmer doesn't work (yes I used the right bulb), it only has a first click of darkness, then two clicks of the same brightness illuminating a dark corner of the room, so worth it for me choosing to keep it instead of worrying about repacking and shipping it back. I haven't found a low enough wattage bulb in my house for a reading light yet, so I'll have to make a trip to the store before evaluating it, but I have no reason to believe
