Great lamp for the money!

I almost gave this 4 stars because the build quality isn't the best. But given the price, 5 stars for the quality. All the old reviews with photos of broken clamps made me nervous. Cast aluminum can crack under pressure. But I think as long as you don't over tighten the clamp you'll be fine. Assembly/installation was very easy and it does exactly what I need. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a clip style architectural lamp on a budget.

I'm definitely a big fan of this one

I changed my desk at work to have a slightly less lit one, more in the corner. I love my new table but the problem was that it just needed more light and there isn't much room on it to turn on a big light. It was just perfect. I mounted it at the back of my desk behind my computer monitors so I can turn it on when it gets dark and turn it off when there's more natural light. I love that it takes up so little desk space because the clip isn't that big, but it definitely holds it well. It'sโ€ฆ

The clip doesn't get stuck - useless crap

Now it's clear why "often buy together" a separate clip. The clamp doesn't work at all. The threads don't stick; The screw is too small for the hole. Since I needed this lamp urgently, I tried to wrap the screw with tape. Do not go. I ended up just drilling a hole in the shelf where I needed the light, but that's not very reliable. I would just buy a dam and an extra clamp unless it's an "extra item" - I have to spend MORE money to get it. The lamp itself works well, although the assemblyโ€ฆ

I wish the clamp was wider than 2 inches

I installed this bracket in my dining room which actually serves as a workshop. The ceiling light uses 40 watt bulbs which really don't fit. It gives you plenty of table-level light to do precision woodwork like I did. Assembled in less than 1 minute. All that was required was the installation of 2 springs that keep the angle of the lamp rigid. What you need to do is lengthen the top "tap" to bring the round spring mounts closer together to make things easier. Eventually I wanted to mount it on

Affordable flexible work lamp with LEDs

Loved this inexpensive and versatile lamp. I think it's worth the price I paid for just the boom and clamp but they come with an LED light (I remember paying $20 each when they first came out) . Fairly stable, flexible, good coverage for the price. The switch only works one way, but I wasn't expecting much from it. easy to assemble. Good light for inspecting fine detail, photography, etc. and putting it aside when you don't need it. People have complained about the clamp, but while the surfaceโ€ฆ

Excellent value for money and quality.

I read all the negative reviews and was a bit hesitant to buy it but I figured if it was really bad I could always return it. It came in a well-packaged box. It seemed small when folded, but it expands quite a bit. The springs are strong and will hold in any position. The supplied LED lamp has a luminous flux of 800 lumens, which is quite sufficient. If you need more light, put in a larger bulb. The lamp is ceramic, which is good. Some people have complained about the clamp, but I really don'tโ€ฆ

COMPLETE GARBAGE - Revane's Choice, anyone?

Absolutely (insert a more dynamic and descriptive word here _ _ _ _) Rubbish. They came out of the Revain gorilla cage in boxes that can only be described with a storyline that begins "Once Upon a Time". From there, and once assembled, the springs don't allow for elbow joint adjustment - they're so tight that the lamp will bounce no matter how you try to get it in place. By the way, the lamp is designed to be positioned and then STAY in place. Fail. The plastic plugs that were supposed to holdโ€ฆ
