Globe Electric Memphis 2 Light Ceiling Review

Looks good in our space! I installed a few lights so it wasn't difficult to install. However, the glass was MORE sticky. Eventually they all fit in, some much easier than others. I wish you success :)

I wasn't expecting bubble glass not to be clearly visible on the promotional page but when I got it my whole family was pleasantly surprised. The connection system on this light is standard, hot/neutral/grounded by a wire nut and the light itself hangs from a standard light fitting. Installation was easy and the result looks really good.

I had to return 2 of these. One had cracked glass and both had ugly black silicon inside which is clearly visible when the light is on. All the light is enclosed in glass and looked great at first glance. We installed one and turned it on, and then we realized there was black goo inside. Big disappointment and return problems. Listen to the reviews and buy something else!

Great looks, big fat size. The only problem is that the glass pieces in the frame are a bit loose. There are small matching nails to keep the jar from falling, but it would be safer if they didn't dangle. Also picks up dust easily and every time I have to clean it I worry about the glass pieces falling out. Remember that this light is all about the bulbs - it's not so much without a bulb. So we bought good Edison style guitars. But this light will NOT look good with a standard incandescent bulb

This is a very basic light at a reasonable but a bit high price for what you get. The metal is a bit thin for the price, but shouldn't withstand any strain. Glass panels are ok but some people have mentioned they don't even use them and I can see why - you can't even see the glass and they just get in the way of cleaning. My only complaint was the inability to simply hang the light from the ceiling light when connecting the cords. You can make something yourself, but how difficult would it be…

I'm renovating my kitchen and after replacing the round bracket on the kitchen ceiling with an open glass Edison bulb bubble bracket, I decided to replace the garage entry bracket with a matching one replace (The entrance to the garage leads to the kitchen). Bought these flush mount lights to replace a 10 year old 'chest light' I had on my basement ceiling. In fact, I saw the same ceiling mount at Menards for a whopping $149 for 1 ceiling mount! I like the look of the light but the finish is very poor. According to the description, it has 5 panes of glass. According to the answers to the questions, some people get 4 panes of glass on the sides and 1 pane of glass on the bottom, while others only get panes on the sides with an open bottom.
