The alternator fuel pump works great and I am very happy with it. It's quiet and really does its job. I will recommend this to everyone

The Onan Generator I installed it on had a square hole in the side of the housing for the square end of the pump to fit through. The end of the pump wasn't properly "timed" so the square end could go through the hole and use the pump mounts to hold the pump in place.

This fuel pump is a perfect match for my Onan 7500 Quiet Diesel HDKAJ Diesel Generator which is in my van. There are many other fuel pumps similar to this one, but be careful. The flange nut on the outlet side (where the cables are located) on the Onan pump is larger than most pumps. I bought another fuel pump that looked similar to the other but the nut on the fuel pipe was too big and didn't fit. This pump fits perfectly and my alternator works great.

Installed in my Onan-Cummins QD8000 HDKAK in my motorhome. My OEM failed after 207 hours (I've heard this is an issue for this model). It was a lot cheaper than the Cummins brand and appears to be identical. The job took about 45 minutes, and it could have been less if the factory hadn't covered one of the screws with a support bracket for the device. Would have been 5 stars but due to inaccurate machining of pump outlet this is a 3 star product. I tightened both ends of the pipe connecting the pump to the filter. the same as me before. But after launch I discovered a massive fuel leak at the junction and no vapor droplets. I took the pipe off and cleaned/checked, reinstalled and it's still leaking like a strainer. After going back and tightening it that much, I'll probably never loosen it again with a ring spanner on a tube nut and a wrench
