The leash comes off the stick/pole easily

My kids really enjoyed playing this game. However, the rope easily detaches from a stick/fishing rod. I have to re-tie the strings to the stick/pole every time it is played.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • There are flaws

Magnets are too weak, best in magnet and felt game boards

The game is colorful and looks like it will work, but it doesn't. The magnets are attached to styrofoam discs that are too thick for the magnets on the poles to pick up. Very disappointed as was my great grandson.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Some problems

Good concept but bad design

The concept is great for young children (my 3 year old loves it but my 7 year old is bored). However, the magnets are very weak and the rods only catch fish half the time at most. After a day of use, all the threads on the poles have come loose from the magnets.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Some cons

Magnets are not strong enough to play with

This set was a great idea but terrible execution. It's nice and compact and fits in my purse to travel with, but that's the only good thing about it. The magnets aren't very strong, so the only way to play with them is to pick up the fish with your hands, which defeats the purpose of the game.

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Not sure

Concept Grear Bad, Bad deisgn

Amazing thought but the fish is too fat to wear purple. You have to flip the fish for the magenta to be on top and even then the rod will only work on some of them. And then it completely contradicts the goal of "finding red fish". Get the blue fish etc. Nice packaging and concept but the execution leaves a lot to be desired.

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Keep your kids out of church!

It was amazing! I originally bought them for a family trip. I'm trying to make the trip a little better. I bought a memory game, a bingo game and a fish game. Everything was great. But I found them even more useful for the Church. The magnets stay in the case so the parts don't get scattered on the floor. Because it's magnetic and made of foam, it's quiet. Get this seriously.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Great concept, terrible execution.

This is a great concept and idea for a travel game. However, the magnets don't work at all - the fish is too big for the rod's magnets to pick up. You can touch the fish with your rod, but then you have to pick it up yourself, which also makes "catching" pointless. In addition, the spinner is of rather poor quality and does not spin at all. I've tried to make sure it's completely flat, but it doesn't spin on any surface no matter what I do. Great concept, terrible execution.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Renovation

More than impressed! good for role playing

This game is very cute and will keep the kids busy. The fish are thick styrofoam pieces with a magnet on the bottom so they are nice and soft. I just got the game but everything seems solid. Because the fish sits on thick foam, it won't break easily, the tin feels very strong, and the sticks are made of hard plastic (not flexible). I'm beside myself with impressions! When I started watching games I saw some low stars on this game. People said that the fish had to be flipped in order to catch…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No automatic controls
