Update 6 months later: The other night I heard a loud crack and the next day the bottom bar broke off and turned over. Luckily my cats are fine. The heaviest cat weighs less than 11 pounds and they don't sleep together on the same perch, they're still learning to get along. , and a nail protrudes into the hollow.
