The bottom plate of this stand is broken. on the left half about 7 inches from the left. completely through. but assembly was easy, and after the base was screwed onto a slightly larger board, it proved fairly stable, if not a little wobbly, for the larger of our two cats. Overall rating: I ordered this climbing box with a bit of skepticism as other reviews said the tree was too wobbly. While that's true, the tree is shaky, but not as shaky as I thought it would be. All of my cats like wood to some extent and each has a favorite wooden element. I will note that when I bought this tree it cost about $40.
