Not as advertised. Only for very little space

Bought for a room of 125 sqm It was a complete disappointment. The humidity in the room is maintained from 60 to 65 while the device works continuously. Can drain the tank every 3-4 days. Maybe it would work if the room was 50 square meters. But not for me UPDATE; The seller tried to offer money to delete the comment. I'm sure some of you would take it. I'm not like that. This is not as good a product as advertised and I want buyers to know the truth. It doesn't cost any money. If the seller…

Works great, quiet and efficient.

That thing is cool! It's over 90 degrees outside and quite humid. I have two window air conditioners and it's nice and cool and dry in here. I plugged this thing in this morning and turned it on. From time to time you hear a hissing. This was to be expected. Water must flow into the tank, and water entering the water produces little noise. The cable is quite long, which is very good. I live in an old brownstone in Boston and there aren't as many outlets as there are in more modern homes. As for

Power converter heats at 115-120V instead of 12V

I bought this dryer for our caravan. It seems to work very well and remove quite a bit of water from the air. However, I was concerned because the power converter was getting too hot to touch! I have found that the heat is generated because the power converter steps down the 120 volt AC to a much lower DC voltage. With a little experimentation I found that this dehumidifier works great at 12 or 13.5 volts! Since I have 12 volt power plugs in my RV, I decided to unplug the HOT converter box from

Save time and energy and buy a compressor dehumidifier

Tried the smaller one first, for about half the price of this one. It didn't register a difference on the hygrometer and collected about 1 ounce of water overnight so I returned this one and got this one. About 1/4 cup of water was collected overnight. None of them affected the hygrometer reading in a 9 x 11 foot room that reached 70% humidity in the morning when I turned the air conditioner down to 63 degrees at night. Today I went to a big hardware store and bought one the size of a small…

Purified MORE water than a similarly priced unit

I ordered a small Gocheer and Luby dehumidifier (white, 2200 cu. which worked best and was the quietest. Gocheer won straight away. I used both devices for 24 hours in the same two rooms about 10 feet apart. Here are the results: Gocheer purifies about 12 ounces of water (just over 1 1/2 cups). Luby purifies approx. 250 ml of water. ml of water (about 1 1/8 cups). Given that they cost the same, I returned the Luby. Both devices are audible but quiet, and after adjusting to the noise level (like

Comparable to other dehumidifiers of this size/price

This is a good dehumidifier for the size and price. It uses about the same amount of water as other dehumidifiers of the same size. I also have a medium sized Ivation IVADM35 dehumidifier running in the same 18.59 square foot room. Both removed about 700ml of water over a 36 hour period, with Ivation removing just a few more ml. The difference might be that the Ivation has a faster fan and airflow, despite being noticeably louder. I can assume most modern electronics have the same inner…
