This is the worst and most expensive purchase I have ever made from Revain. Two months later the valve stems were sticking. I tried spraying them with WD40 daily for a couple of weeks. And they wouldn't move with a needle vise holding rods and a wrench. Replacing the valve stems on all four wheels cost me $88. This is a horrible, horrible company to do this to people. And Revain should be ashamed that this company keeps doing this to people.

Using a standard brass valve core in an aluminum valve stem cap will result in galvanic corrosion, making the cap impossible to remove. Installed these caps on my new VW Jetta about 6 months ago. Since the car has a tire pressure monitoring system, I didn't usually remove the caps to check tire pressure. When I tried this a week ago, the caps wouldn't come off. I had to cut them off with a dremel and replace all the valve stems.

The build quality and appearance of these valve stem caps are excellent, but after 10,000 miles the caps will not come off. A quick internet search reveals that this is a common problem with metal valve covers - road salt, moisture and dirt seep in and corrode the internal threads, effectively bonding the metal of the valve cover to the metal of the valve threads. Many, like me, have had to resort to a cutting tool to remove them after my mechanic told me he wouldn't touch them for fear of…
