Works with all machines I've used it with so far!

So far I've used it with an Intel 660p 512GB installed in a PCIe x16 slot on a Dell Optiplex 790 LGA 1155 motherboard, an ASUS Prime x370 Pro AM4 motherboard and an old Mac Pro is. 3.1. On all systems it was recognized and works perfectly. The systems popped up every time and were able to write to the m.2 SSD. Most systems cannot boot from an NVMe drive unless they already have an m.2 slot on the motherboard. So make sure you've done your homework when installing Windows or any other operating…

Works great, plug and play

All you have to do is plug the NVME SSD into the adapter, then plug the adapter into an available PCI3 x4 slot, and then restart your computer. You need to initialize the SSD when it is new. When I first installed this adapter I used a heatsink but then I tried without a heatsink and if you have good ventilation in your computer there doesn't seem to be a need for a heatsink. In my case it didn't make a difference, so I use it without a heatsink. In terms of speed, I used the same SSD in both…

Works well in MacPro4.1 updated to 5.1.

Installed this on my Mac Pro Tower 4.1 (flashed to 5.1) and used a 1TB ADATA XPG SC8200 Pro NVMe SSD as the boot drive with Mojave with a Radeon RX-580 graphics card. Some initial instability but now after I reinstalled the adapter in the second (16x) slot it's stable. As with my previous OWC SATA 3 PCIe card, I had to put a small felt pad between it and the graphics card to give the RX 580's fan enough clearance to spin freely. Not as fast as those NVMe ones Card could run, but still 3x faster
