    great board Poor mount

For something that costs $15, it's not bad. The bracket is not manufactured correctly and does not meet the chassis specifications. But if you're a techie, chances are you upgraded your Apple SSD a long time ago. and now it's just gathering dust. new NVME disk for my server. I don't mind if I do it.

    Half size bracket is missing

The picture shows a full and a half backplane bracket, but only one full size bracket is included. You will need a half size mount. Very disappointing. Otherwise as advertised.

Makes OWC Aura Pro X NVMe drive bootable on Mac Pro 2009

Pro. My cMP is flashed 4.1 to 5.1 and then to bootdisk 144 which supports NVMe boot. For the price I wasn't expecting much from this adapter, but after decrypting NVMe and selecting it as the boot drive in Mojave, it boots and is the system drive now! This is an old version of the Aura Pro X so read/write speeds are only around 1000Mbps but it was still a huge upgrade for this 11 year old computer!

Great for using MacPro SDD on my PC

Took a PCIe blade drive from a 2015 Macbook Pro and put it in this card. I put it in my PC's PCIe slot and now I have an extra SSD drive on my PC. Nothing had to be installed. However, I haven't tried installing it as a boot drive. Probably more work than it's worth.

    Pros
    • PCIe x4 adapter only supports PCIe x4/x8/x16 port; can read data and write data to SSD,NOT SUPPORT AS SYSTEM BOOT DISK.

Makes OWC Aura Pro X NVMe drive bootable on Mac Pro 2009

Yes, it can boot on PC

This review is for the 2017 Macbook Air SSD GODSHARK PCIe Adapter Board. I am using this adapter to boot Win7 x64 from a leftover Apple SSUBX SSD on an old Z68 PC motherboard. Electrically it's just a pass-through connector and I don't agree with the seller that it can't be used as a boot device. (I also disagree with similar product reviews mentioning PCIe fanout -- that's not the issue here.) The problem is that SSDs, at least in the PC world, are usually either AHCI over a SATA connection or
