🚱 Enhanced GoldTone WaterFilter: BRITA Water Filter Pitcher Classic Replacement Filters for BRITA and MAVEA (6 Pack) Review

The filters are not very effective. The water flows fairly quickly and doesn't remove chlorine very well. I've used the same filter multiple times and the filtered water still had a strong chlorine taste. I sent these filters back and ordered branded filters. Got them today. Installed and up and running immediately. Filtered water from branded filters worked as advertised. I will no longer buy GoldTone filters.

Nothing filters like a Brita filter. Yes they fit the Brita but it only has 2 small holes as opposed to the Brita which has 4. It took 4 hours to filter a pitcher and even after half a dozen glasses it still tasted like charcoal! I tried 3 filters and thought it must be a problem with the filter itself. I ended up ordering the regular Brita filters (yes, I paid a few bucks more) and got the results I was used to.

I tried three filters with the same result. They allow the lower filtered tank to be only half full no matter how much water is in the upper unfiltered tank. Also, due to the low level in the lower tank and the high level in the upper tank, the upper tank leaks when the water is drained and runs down the outside of the tank. I have used different brands of filters as well as Brita filters and never had this problem.

I bought these filters because of the great price. They do not conduct water well from the upper tank to the lower tank compared to the manufacturer's filter. I have never experienced the resistance of the water flowing from the top tank through the filter to the bottom tank with Brita filters. Yes, I soaked the filter before installing it. Yes, I made sure there was no air in the filter, the steam will clog it. Yes, I am interested in the water filtration efficiency of this filter.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have an older Brita jug filter for my dog and reptile, my partner drank some water with these filters and it was tap water, we have a second Brita filter for us so we know the difference. My partner suggested changing the filter and the result was the same nasty unfiltered water. I was trying to get a good deal on a product and it was a complete waste of money. As a result, I had to buy new filters. Don't even think about wasting your time and money on it!

As other reviewers have reported, the water stays in the top tank indefinitely, meaning your water is unfiltered there *and* that the top half of the jug often turns out to be filled with water. It is very difficult to pour out filtered water; Worse, if you don't expect the item to be too heavy you risk the lid coming off and a few gallons of water spilling on your counter. Don't buy this. I won't make that mistake twice. Can someone pass me the mop?

This is the first purchase of this brand and they do not work like Brita originals. The filtration process lasts indefinitely, only filtering about half of the upper reservoir where water remains. There are only 4 tiny holes at the top of the filter for water to enter and only 2 holes at the bottom for it to exit (I would add, with a slow drip).
