As other reviewers have reported, the water stays in the top tank indefinitely, meaning your water is unfiltered there *and* that the top half of the jug often turns out to be filled with water. It is very difficult to pour out filtered water; Worse, if you don't expect the item to be too heavy you risk the lid coming off and a few gallons of water spilling on your counter. Don't buy this. I won't make that mistake twice. Can someone pass me the mop?
