Replaced 2006 Civic Wheel Guard Clips

I purchased the 8mm Bumper Retainers because I replaced my headlight bulbs and broke all but one of these off. The package came in what I would consider a standard zip lock type back used for bulk items. They were all new and were installed without issue and still holding up. It is not a big deal to me but the clips came in two separate pieces the pin and the clip. All that is required is inserting the pin into the clip. I rated this product 4 stars because they seem sturdy enough but only has…

Pros
  • Fits well in my daughter’s 2003 CRV. Replaces broken, cracked old fasteners.
Cons
  • Could cause damage if the clips break and insulation gets trapped in engine parts

It works at a fraction of the cost.

Needed to find replacement retainer for the underbody splash guard of my Nissan van. OEM or major brand ones costs couple of dollars for a single clip but these comes in a pack of 40s. Put them in and they fit well and work just fine. If they break next time I need to remove the panel I can just pop in another one since I have plenty left.

Pros
  • Comes in a handy storage box for neat and easy organization
Cons
  • Might not hold up against extreme weather conditions

07 CHEVY COLORADO perfect fit.

I needed to take my Bushwacker Extended-Fender-Flares off my truck for a while to do some fixing and couldn't find the right sizes for these Fastener Rivet Clips so that I could re-install my fender flares onto my truck. I didn't know the exact size of what the original clips were so I just went with looks. lol. The clips looked just like the ones I already had installed onto my truck so I ordered these, when I received them and tried it out. i was surprised. It not only fit perfectly, but it…

Pros
  • High Quality Material:Made of upgraded PA-6 material, won’t be easy to crack or break, have good workmanship and be better than OEM
Cons
  • Could be too expensive compared to other replacement clip options

Mechanics care about cars they own, not necessarily yours. So despite the necessity of taking it in, you may end up with another problem. Every time my girlfriend brought her car in to a place for an oil change, they would forget to put something or another back in. When they let her drive off the lot with her undercarriage flap hanging down, I had had enough. I ordered this along with the other (copying this review there) and pinned it up myself. A thousand miles past that oil change and the…

They work on a 2009 cadillac cts

To replace the headlights of my 2009 cadillac CTS, you have to remove multiple plastic covers under the hood and along the wheel well to get to the light assembly. These tabs fit perfectly to replace the ones I accidentally destroyed.

Pros
  • Reinforces the insulation material to extend its lifespan
Cons
  • Could become brittle in extreme temperatures or climates

Break easily and to remove you must break and drill center. These are aliens. None will fit my can am Spyder or LX450. Insert is difficult for old weak hands. To remove, same problem. Too tight and brittle plastic top on center pin just pops off then you need to drill out the remainder of the pin. Worst body clips I've had the displeasure to use.

Pros
  • Helps prevent damage to your car's engine bay by securing the hood insulation
Cons
  • Could be a waste of money if the clips break or become unusable after one use

Good Product, But Mismatched Product Count

Good set of rivet clips I needed for a broken pin on my Jeep Wrangler JK front grille. They work great just like OEM. The separate pieces are even interchangeable with the OEM clips. This product does come with the clips separated into 2 pieces. I had to give this product 4 stars however, due to there only being 39 clip bodies and 41 clip inserts (mismatched). So, if you are expecting/needing exactly 40 complete rivet clips, you might be one or two short.

Pros
  • Didn't fit my '01 Lexus. I need smaller size.
Cons
  • Might not fit perfectly with aftermarket insulation materials

Great Value best in my review

Fit tighter than the OEM fasteners. Worked great. A lot cheaper than at the local auto parts store. A great value for the money.

Pros
  • Prevents hood insulation from sagging or unraveling due to damaged clips
Cons
  • Frustrating to install for those who aren’t familiar with DIY car repairs

Wow! These are probably reusable.

Most of these plastic retainers other than the OEM Honda are mean't for one time use. Yeah, it's cheap you say. But try removing one when the plastic button tops break off. There is no place to grab them with a pliers. You will have to drill them out. But oftentimes, there is no space to use a regular drill, so you'll need a right angle drill.I tried inserting and removing the plug on one of these several times using the KD tool, and looks like these will probably last a couple of years on the…

Pros
  • Convenient set of 50 for replacement or spare parts
Cons
  • Could cause damage if the clips are installed in the wrong location

Barely fits, but it's super secure

It's on the larger end of an 8mm rivet clip, but with some elbow grease it'll fit. That means when it's in, it's in. It's securing the fender liners of my 2005 Accord and 2003 S2000, and they are VERY secure.

Pros
  • Universal fit for most hood insulation types and sizes
Cons
  • Might not be able to hold up to the weight of heavier insulation materials

Solid fastners: my feedback

I was missing some on my Subaru and these did the trick. However once they're in it's extremely difficult to take out. Maybe it's a good thing but to me it's only one thing and that's annoying. But good in the end

Pros
  • Button head to flimsy, folds when you try to pull them out.Hold ok.
Cons
  • Might be difficult to install for inexperienced DIY-ers

Awesome fasteners!: my feedback

These things are awesome! Same fasteners as the local auto store but way cheaper. The store wanted $6 for two of em, so I rolled the dice on 40 for the same price. Worked out great! Easy to install and take off, they’re even reusable. Then to top it off they even snap securely together to lock in place. My lower bumper on my Jeep is solid now!

Pros
  • Tested rigorously for optimal performance and durability
Cons
  • Might not be worth the hassle of returning if it doesn’t fit or work on the car

Fit on my Traverse for my opinion

I have a 2012 Chevy Traverse and needed a few new clips for the skirt under the hood. I had to replace my front upper grill due to damage and as part of it's replacement I had to remove the front bumper, as part of it's removal I had to remove the skirt thats under the hood. Holding the skirt were these clips, and being I did not have the proper tool to remove them I broke a few. These clips were an exact match and installed with ease, another great point is my vehicle uses these same size…

Pros
  • Replacement Parts
Cons
  • Packaging might not include installation instructions for inexperienced DIY-ers
