Should have read the Revain reviews. after one use and one wash in the dishwasher, the cheap metal plating on the metal heads turned powder black and the hammer went straight into the bin. It's hard to say what kind of cheap metal it is. but I definitely don't want him to touch the food I'm cooking.

So this one has a plastic handle and not even a solid head. He is prone to getting raw meat juices in the seams on his head and handle. The head is also small for a tenderizer. I would give it fewer stars but I think that's what it says. Rather spend a few euros more for solid aluminum. I'll probably either throw mine away or send it back.

Very happy with this item etc.) and I had trouble finding a fabric softener for less than $12 to find. Most were closer to $20. It's light but strong. Feels like cast aluminum. Cleans very easily and mine has been in the dishwasher a few times. No signs of (I'm guessing) peeling the enamel coating.
