There are no wires to splice or expensive programing to be done, just plug it in and your good to go. It is also referred to as a control unit, Computer ECU or a Module. BMW Mini Cooper Part#: 63117182520, 63112754797; for Audi Part #: 8J0907391; Cadillac GM Part#: 25806714. Note: NOT for E90 4 door SEDAN; NOT for DTS with 3 mounting bolts. Some makes and models use 2 different ballasts types for the same year of car. 2007-2009 BMW E92 E93 M3 328i/328xi/335i/335xi Coupe and E90 M3 Sedan (NOT for E90 4 door SEDAN); 2008-2009 BMW 6 series E63 E64 650i M6; 2007-2010 BMW E83 X3; 2007-2010 BMW E70 X5; 2007-2009 Mini Cooper / Cooper S; 2007-2011 Cadillac DTS "WITH 4 MOUNTING BOLTS". Disappointing Xenon Ballast - Not Worth Buying

Automotive lighting is crucial, and this product fails to deliver .Through trial and error, I found that this ballast is unreliable and prone to malfunctioning. The only positive thing I can say is that the packaging was adequate. But thats it. The installation process was a hassle, and after a few uses, the ballast stopped working altogether. I'm extremely DISSATISFIED with this purchase and recommend looking elsewhere for a more reliable product..

Great Replacement Ballast for Xenon Headlights!

Using this product our team found that the light output was noticeably brighter and whiter than before .The installation was easy and straightforward and the ballast is also very affordable, making it a great value for automotive lighting enthusiasts. However, the packaging could be improved to provide more protection during shipping. Overall, we highly recommend this ballast for anyone looking for an affordable and effective replacement for their xenon headlights..

Igniter never worked

Never worked for me, just installed last night, one caught fire just after it died, the other didn't work. Better get the original, the price is too good to be true.
