I bought these at a local store for $2. They are fine and did their job. The hair clip has fallen apart a few times, but you just have to pin it back in place and redo that section of hair, so it's no big deal. This is a good item but I think it works best on natural straight hair (Indian, Chinese, White or Native etc) simply because it needed to hold the hair firmly in place , but this did not happen. doesn't work that well for my hair because i'm black and i have my hair loose and i used it to style my hair and went under my hood dryer when my hair was dry when i took it out of my hair it broke mine strand hair because it was very tight on my hair and my hair was dry and no moisture left in it but…

These curlers are flimsy. It was very frustrating that the curler shaft suddenly broke off the clasp just as if your hair was rolled up to your head. There was nothing left but to push the hair to the head with one hand and grab the missing part from the ground. They then had to try to put the two pieces together without the hair falling out of the curler.
