🔴 Grand General Red 100-foot 18-Gauge Primary Wire - 55224 Review

Great price for a great wire. I thought it was solid wire but it's stranded. I had to take a closer look, but upon further research I found that Stranded is exactly what I needed, contrary to what I initially thought. Excellent purchase.

True to its caliber as I removed the cover and 18 gauge is copper 18 gauge. The same company also sells 16 gauge, which is also true 16 gauge. Grand General makes a strong coating on the wire that isn't as malleable as some others. Retains its flexing properties at 20 degrees temperature.

Oops, they sent me 25 feet of 16 gauge wire, not 18 as advertised. If I had trouble getting it to work at 16 I'd send it back, but I still prefer to use the highest specs whenever possible, so no problem here! I also have a spool of their 18 gauge wire and I can tell you they are both high quality copper wire. Great for general purpose wiring and hobbies. They solder well, are well insulated and flexible enough for my projects. 5 Stars.
