Not track 12! in wires

Looks good but runs small, the diameter of the wire (not insulation) should be a minimum of 0.093" and a maximum of only 0.080".

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

It's a wire, nothing special. Very isolated.

That's a wire, nothing special. The insulation is very rubbery so my wire stripper had trouble with it, but it worked in the end. I don't know if it's really 12 AWG, but it handles enough power for my application and seems to match the black 12 AWG wire I have at home.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • old

2x $ Home Depot per foot (25 feet of this product.

2x $ Home Depot per foot (25 feet of this product about $10, 50 feet of this product about $12). Uncoated for protection of oil gas, thicker than normal sheathing, seems to be the right gauge for thinner posts, but more. I made a few side by side, WHITE wire is from Home Depot, BLACK is from Revain.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • There are cons

NOT 12 gauge at all!

As others have said, this is definitely not true 12 gauge wire. It might be 12 gauge with all the extra insulation, but in reality the wire itself is measured closer to 14 gauge. This is NOT how you measure the wire. Typical Chinese characteristics of the base. Get real wire from Dorman or some other supplier, IMHO this material is flammable.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Expensive

Works perfectly! Thick insulation but one wire size smaller than advertised

As mentioned, the only thing about these wires is that they are slightly smaller than advertised. After reading these comments I bought a size up so I have the wire gauge I want. Only thing is the insulation is thick, which I like, but makes the wire overall bulkier than it should be.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No automation

WARNING! NO 12 gauge wire, thick plastic over 14 or 16 gauge wire

Hoped for the best, failed. NOT 12 GA cable. Paid for 12 ga wire and got 14, probably closer to 16 ga with a double layer of plastic covering. I like to save money, but I don't skimp on the wiring. Fire is no fun. It would be better for this manufacturer to just be honest about the gauge of the wire. If I send it back I'll pay exactly $4 more for a NAPA brand reel I can trust. In my experience and the opinion of a lawyer blah blah.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

but the plastic wire is very thick and difficult to bend

Works, but the plastic wire is very thick and difficult to bend. The wire is thin but probably 12 gauge as advertised; However, the plastic edge is very thick and difficult to work in tight spaces. (I used this to connect some aftermarket power seats to some switches on my car's dashboard. The wire trim made them difficult to use for this purpose, but I had no problem getting them to work.)

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
