Good value phone, the best in office electronics

The display is harder to read than Grandstream's 2000 series phones, but better than cheaper Cisco models. The sound quality is very good and programming is easy. After a month of working with FreePBX, there is nothing unusual to report.

Beautiful, cheap: VoIP

Good, cheap, simple IP phone. Simple configuration via web interface. Includes a headset jack that does not require a dedicated high-gain microphone (unlike the more expensive GXP2130 or GXP2160 models, which require a high-gain microphone in the headset).

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Crumpled

Good product but I expected more

This is normal for an IP phone. However, I still couldn't figure out how to set up a voicemail number after going through all the documentation and lots of forums and google searches. I think the documentation could be better. Another annoyance is the lack of an LCD backlight. The $10 IP phones I've bought in the past are even better in this regard.

Can't beat the price :)

Use them every day, they work great. It's a little slow to load, but the sound quality is very good. Make sure you use the GXP1405 if you need PoE (I made that mistake when ordering the 1400). They work for me with TLS to encrypt SIP traffic with minimal difficulty. I also use a Plantronics wired headset for the S10, T10 and T20: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00006B7T7/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Works perfectly - VoIP

Works quite well. The sound is good and clear depending on the codec. The speakerphone works quite well. The display was minimal but provided all the information you really wanted. It can be difficult to read depending on the angle. No backlight either. It's good if it shows the weather. I was very confused as to which model supports POE and which one comes with a power adapter. I received the 1405, it came with a power supply and probably also supports POE. The information on the Revain…

Good phone for the price but spend more for a great phone.

I use ringroost.com for my VoIP phone service. I like the Virtual PBX feature. I was running ringroost.com with a Grandstream GPX1405 phone but my call quality was poor. I had to unplug my phone to restart it every few days. I switched to an Obihai OBi1032 phone and have been very happy ever since. This phone works great with ringroost.com. When there's a problem with a service, I see that number's button turn orange (rare) and then disappear. I haven't had to restart my phone in over 50 days.

  • Feels good

  • Functionality

Good phones but no voicemail button on a business phone?

Great value Grandstream Power over Ethernet VOIP phone. My problem with this is the enabled and non-enabled buttons - there is no voicemail button, but there is a conference button. Conferencing isn't a commonly used feature, but EVERYONE uses voicemail. Just a weird oversight. I could reprogram one of the multifunction buttons to voicemail, but then you'd lose line 2 functionality, so I ended up making Brother labels with a voicemail code that works but isn't really needed. A dedicated…
