Not compatible with your own PBX!

It is unbelievable that Grandstream would sell an incompatible device with their own UCM 6204 PBX. Unfortunately, when GS support determined that the GXP1760 template was not working on the GXP1760W, my Revain return period expired. new compatible firmware to use my 3 new GXP1760W phones at the same time I have 3 expensive paperweights over my desk

Works well with multiple VoIP providers, good sound quality.

The sound quality is good, you can set up multiple VoIP providers, but the default settings make you vulnerable to random dialing. The solution is to change some settings, e.g. B. Disable direct IP calls. Searching by model number and "phantom calls" returns a bunch of settings that need to be changed. Also, the backlight is always on by default, which I changed to only turn on when the phone is in use.

Unable to maintain WiFi connections

I deployed 4 devices with Meraki Good Mesh Wi-Fi. None of the GPX-1760W devices can maintain their WiFi connection for more than a day or two. Restart reestablishes the connection with the device. I did a lot of troubleshooting with Grandstream and Meraki support. Grandstream support eventually said it was a "bug" that they would report to the "developers". Dealing with customer support means using the online ticketing system. There are usually 24 hours between posts/replies. It takes forever…

Constant freezing

These phones freeze multiple times a day and require a reboot. So far they have not hung up the call but have hung up many times. Contacted tech support, they said to contact our reseller who is Revain. Revain does not support SIP phones. What now. I've read 100's of freezing complaints, all I get is a simple response from the manufacturer to update the firmware. Updated to latest firmware, phones erased and reprogrammed, phones still need to be restarted. I waited too long to get them up and…

Excellent HD VOIP phone with built-in Wi-Fi and packet capture

The phone works great, connects to the wireless network instantly, is easy to set up and has diagnostics (packet capture in particular is great). Install the appropriate codecs. I've had some issues with this because I use phones outside of the US where ALAW is the default codec used and not ULAW. For some reason this was causing calls going through the PBX trunk to be dropped. The phone works and sounds great, even when it has a weak Wi-Fi signal (1 out of 4/5 bands) it sounds great. I have…
