As an avid arts and crafts enthusiast, I was really looking forward to trying out this drawing product. However, I found it to be nothing more than a simple and boring tool. Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, I could tell that the quality was sub-par. The only good thing I can say is that it is relatively inexpensive which is appropriate given the lack of creativity. Overall, I am highly disappointed.

These are large, durable charcoal pencils, ideal for drawing your image in front of a painted background. Tracing, etc. They don't write on some surfaces or papers, so keep that in mind. They work well on matte surfaces and poorly on waxy surfaces. They can be sharpened well with a hand sharpener. 5 Stars. very important.

This was a nice surprise as they are thicker than standard charcoal pencils. I use mine to draw on bamboo, which can be unforgiving with charcoal, but they worked fine. As a professional artist, I have tried all brands of pencils and they meet my standards. A good product.
