Great balm! for shaving and depilation

First, I like the packaging. Tin is very manly for some reason and satisfies me. on the product. I have used essential oils and other balms but for some reason the oil never moisturized my beard. Other balms I've tried have been thick or smooth but with little balls in them that don't dissolve, and none of them really moisturized my beard and the skin underneath. Not so with Grave before Shave! I bought a jar of pine scented balm and was very pleased! My beard and the skin underneath is dry and

My favorite beard balm

Some of the reviews almost startled me with comments about pine salt and whatnot, I'm glad I didn't listen. Yes, it smells slightly like pine, but that's what I was looking for! I wanted the smell of nature rather than the smell of a hair salon or a honey plant. It's not very strong and goes away fairly quickly. What pleasantly surprised me was how much better it conditions my beard compared to other top selling balms. It's so soft and still keeps its shape. Good product. The only minor…

Slight smell and sand

As others have said, the balm has a feeling of sand. However, if rubbed in hands before use, it seems to go away. From what they sent it smells like pine needles, but to me it's very faint. I finally microwaved it in a glass bowl and added some juniper berry, pine needle and pine essential oils and it got a lot better and the sand was gone too. Three stars for not having to fix a brand new product.

  • A lot

First of all: I get two stars instead of 1 because I have been using GBS for almost two years and have never had a problem with any product. Unfortunately, today was a day of disappointment. I received the pine scented balm tonight because I liked the oil. The smell of the oil is great and surprisingly not overpowering. However, the balm does not have a nice needle smell. This is similar to other oiled shop rag reviewers. But the real problem I have this time is the consistency of the balm. The

The quality is lower than others

I really liked this balm, I bought an oil/balm pair and I really like the smell but the consistency is poor compared to any other brand. tries. I didn't see any other review mentioning this so maybe I had a bad batch but it's quite firm and doesn't melt completely when you rub it in your hands. It gets small unmelted bits that then end up in your beard when you apply it. I ordered another brand that I already knew worked well, just wish I had overlapping flavors :(

Helps tame my husband's mane

I love GBS products. I've been using them for a while. The smell is also not sharp, the smell is noticeable, but not annoying. It smells like fresh pine needles, but it also smells something of a natural wax scent. This isn't a problem for me as other beard products I've used smell worse. Holds up well, keeps mustache in place for most of the day. However, this balm does not tolerate heat very well, at least in my experience. I have quite a large beard and a little goes a long way. Buy it, your
