I bought it for a wedding and I'm very happy about it! For paper plates, this is a very good quality. They only need one plate and I have found that they do very well with wet food such as BBQ baked beans, salad dressings etc. I will definitely be buying more of these for birthday parties or get togethers in the future.

The best bagasse plates we've tried are strong enough, don't double up for most foods, and absorb moisture well. 9 inches was a dinner plate in the 60s - today it is 12 inches. 9-inch plates come in handy when you're trying to control portions and eat less, but are still big enough to hold a sandwich and small salad. Perfect.

I got these paper plates because on Mondays we have about thirty hungry college students coming in from church for dinner and Bible study. But I've found that when I use my regular dishes, they spend most of the evening washing them. So paper. But dumping all that junk in our local landfill was no fun. While I don't compost myself, it's nice to know that they break down well and don't add any chemicals to the environment.
