Don't do business with them.

This is complete rubbish and when we returned it we were cheated out of $6.48. Greenco Marble Mortar and Pestle, 3.75" White/Grey

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • For the old

Works as expected

Very good, perfect for grinding my dry spices and leaves. I thought a bit of texture in the bowl might mess up the herbs, but it always cleaned like new. I found this after a lot of searching and comparing prices and reviews to be a great product for the price!

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Very good overall quality after opening the box

Very good overall quality after opening the box. By using them beforehand instead of abusing or abusing them. A few taps with the pestle towards the mortar. And broke in half. Not happy at all. Will not recommend or order again. Hopefully the gorilla's glue will hold it together, at least for the anther.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Defects present

Excellent mortar and pestle!

Cool stuff! I bought it a year ago and it was a practical and stylish kitchen tool. It's the perfect size if you're cooking for one or two people, and it's very durable. It's a bit difficult to clean, but that doesn't bother me too much. The remains of previously chopped food will not flake off during later use. I love this little thing and would definitely recommend it!

Perfect for my needs. Very happy with the purchase.

I use it to grind herbs. Before first use, use a pestle to grind and grind the rice into powder. Then puree and grind the rice that has been soaked in water for 5 minutes to form a paste. Then rinse with warm water and dry. Yes, the mortar has grooves on the inside, but I haven't had any problems with it. Makes shredding easier as it keeps objects in solution. Also additional sanding surface.

Grow herbs, then try to puree them, dice them, cut them - ah-ah-ah-ah-ah. Have this marble mortar and pestle; I plucked the leaves from the plant, threw them in the mortar and BAM - the result was amazing! Much better flavor, use less than dehydrated bottled spices. Well packed [it's a heavy] fast ship. If you are a chef I recommend this inexpensive range of utensils.

Pros
  • Great price

The replacement was the upgrade

I dropped my last one and the mortar broke. I bought this one thinking it was the same size. The latter was ceramic, and this marble one is much heavier. It's slightly larger than my previous one, and I don't regret making that mistake. I use it to crush my dog's pills. They tend to ricochet a bit, but the large mortar means they don't "ricochet". The heavier pestle also makes it easier to crush the tablets (one is coated so it's always been hard to crack). If something happens to this one I…

Worthy Inexpensive Mortal and Pestle

Unfortunately this didn't work for me but I have no reason to believe this is an unreliable and quality article. I bought it for *very* small cat pills. Often the pill flew back when I first tried to crush it. Also, I could see the medicine getting stuck and then building up in all the combs and even the pestle. Trying to take out all the meds and tidying them up afterwards was annoying at best, plus I wasn't sure how many pills were delivered each time. I suppose this would be ideal for small…
