It works even if you don't have an impact wrench

It's designed for an impact wrench but I used it with a small bench drill. The drill press worked well for drilling. In 1/2" sheet steel, as I suspected, I had to use a wrench on the branch part. Excellent quality, good threads right and fast.

  • Country of origin: China

Perfect Drills, Taps & Chamfers

Simultaneously matched with DEWALT taps to make tapping pre-drilled trailer holes easier and faster. This bit went through about a hundred holes before finally breaking. The only reason it broke was because it didn't hold the drill straight when backing out of the hole. DEWALT didn't even make two threaded holes. The beveled end of the drill is great, but it means you always have to pull the drill out of the hole. collect them all. Worth the money knowing they break often.

Pros
  • United States Labor
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Worked great! on countersinks

This tap was used when installing a diesel engine on a sailing boat. I used it to drill faucet holes in 3/4" aluminum that was coated with fiberglass about 1/8 foot thick. Space is very limited, so I wanted to use a faucet that would eliminate as many steps as possible. I drilled a total of 8 holes to attach the motor mounts to the aluminum track. He did a good job.Just in case I used some non-separating oil as cutting oil and worked slowly.I will be using these Greenlee taps again for every…

Pros
  • Powerful cutting and sawing
Cons
  • Expensive
