Greenlee GT-10GFI Circuit-GFI Tester, Small (Black) Review

picks I've bought before. Someone liked it more than me so I had to replace it. Works as it should. Very durable. Lamp covers do not fall off like cheaper ones.

Fits well in small spaces but lamp placement makes it difficult to use outdoors or on vertically oriented vessels. Also, the light is dim.

Another great product from Greenlee. I'm an HVAC specialist, but I also do electrical work. This is great for checking an outlet's wiring. For those who say the light isn't bright enough, open your eyes. I have no problem seeing them glow. I love greenlee products, good quality.

Works perfectly! But you can hardly see the lights in any light! The way the lights are constructed has to be overlooked by the tester and they are still very difficult to read. The red light isn't bright enough for the cap they put on it. Good luck using it outside on a nice sunny day!

This seems to be what I was looking for to solve a grounding problem in an electrical system but I didn't have time to try it. I have researched and through the RV forum by others who have had this issue they highly recommend this product to save time and money if you are a DIY enthusiast.

This item does the job but in not very dark situations it can be difficult to tell if the orange and/or red lights are lit. And when one is on, it's hard to tell if the other is on, or if the other is just experiencing light "leaking" from light of a different color.

What can you say about the circuit tester? It works great and is Greenlee. I use it in my job as an emergency vehicle technician. Fire engines and ambulances are sometimes equipped with generators along with the required GFCI line voltage circuits. The GT-10GFI is very handy for testing/troubleshooting these systems. Recently, Greenlee Products switched to the import side. Their pliers etc. are no longer made in the great USA. This tester is also not made in the USA, but good luck finding one…
