That's certainly a good idea, but not very well executed. The end does not have enough angles to be used as a spatula/turner and these ends are so flexible that they cannot be used as tongs. The best you can expect from them in terms of functionality as the tongs should have them straight up and down perpendicular to the sausage, in which case they can only hold food. but it's not very useful for flipping, and who wants to do it on a hot grill?

I would like it more similar but unfortunately I am comparing it to the simpler and more durable design I have had at home for years. I bought this for camping use and the curved tin handle design makes it difficult to clean the inside of the handle over the flat surface of the spatula.
